Drawing into Painting
This practical workshop for teachers will investigate new approaches to image-making, where the exploratory aspects of drawing are used to produce what can be termed a ‘painting’.
Alongside the incorporation of drawing materials and techniques into a finished image, this workshop aims to provide processes for students who are less equipped for traditional painting methods, and give them the ability to achieve ‘painting’ requirements.
The methods used represent current contemporary practice and are suitable for use at levels 1, 2 and 3 of NCEA. Artist models will be supplied.
Duration: 90 minutes
This is a hands-on workshop using wet materials: please dress appropriately.
